Active Image Control is a "plug-in" module available for CensorNet which filters images for pornographic content, in real time, as they are downloaded by the Web browser. Suspect images are automatically replaced with a safe symbol
.
The module performs thousands of algorithmic calculations in real time, contextually analysing face, edge, background, foreground, skin, shading and texture in an image to determine its composition and nature.
The analysis incorporates artificial intelligence while determining the attributes, orientation and content of each image in order to assess whether or not an image is pornographic. It operates at high speed avoiding latency and allows the system administrator to monitor and or block individual images.
